Have you ever thought about that? Perfect Peace. Have you ever wondered if there is really such a thing? As hard as it is for some of us to believe, Perfect Peace does exist in this crazy world. Let me show you a scripture that describes what makes it Perfect.
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.” Isaiah 26:3-4
It is perfect because it comes from God! Everything He does is perfect, so why wouldn’t His Peace be perfect? All we have to do is claim His promise. It says very clearly that God will give us Perfect Peace if our minds stay on Him.
Even when we become overwhelmed with our circumstances, we have to remember that God is good all the time and always keeps His word. It doesn’t matter how we may be feeling or what we may be facing. We can claim God’s promise of Perfect Peace. Your boat may be in the middle of a storm, but God can calm the storm. Just like Jesus did on the sea of Galilee in Mark 4:39, “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”
God doesn’t always calm the storm, sometimes He calms the one in the storm. We may have to continue fighting through the storm, but God can give us that Perfect Peace to calm our hearts while we endure the storm.
We have to claim the promises God has for us. The first promise is through salvation when we put our faith in Jesus. That promise takes care of our eternity. He promises we will be with Him in heaven. There are many other promises in scripture that we also have to claim if we are going to survive living in this sinful world. God says He will take care of us, but we have to let Him. He doesn’t promise our life will be stress free or problem free. He just promises to never leave us nor forsake us.
Let’s get busy claiming His promises and living our lives with Perfect Peace!
Very nice article and lots of truth with a very good message. Please post on church Facebook

Thank you for writing your blog! After looking up verses on encouragement and not finding what Truly resonated, I pulled up your blog and started reading through old posts. I know that God loves me and I can survive anything with him by my side. I find myself in the middle of a growing storm (it feels more like a hurricane – with wind, flooding rain, lightening, and tornados!) With so many things going awry that I don’t even know what to ask God for help with. And then I read Perfect Peace. Because I know he can, I wanted God to stop the storm, to fix everything… Now. It makes me feel like I am drowning. Perfect Peace made me think. Maybe I should just ask God to give me peace. If I am calm in his arms, I can weather this storm like I have so many others before. This is my prayer and I am thankful that God gave you the words He knew I would need!
