1 John 4:7

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

I absolutely need to hear the words, “I love you.” But they tend to mean so much more when there is action behind them. When we feel loved, we feel secure. Or at least I do.  I feel safe when I know that I am loved.

There is no greater love than God’s love. He loved us so much, He sent His Son to die for us. That is amazing to think about. God not only told us in His Word that He loves us, but He followed it up with action. I’m so thankful He did that for us. All He asks in return is to show His Love to someone else.

I enjoy doing random acts of kindness. Just a simple act can sometimes change someone’s whole day. We never know what people are dealing with on a regular basis. So the next time you see someone that is having a bad day, stop and think about what you could do for them. They may be struggling with issues at work or with family. Maybe they are struggling with depression, divorce or a death. They may not feel like anyone cares about them.

If there is a need you know about and can help with that is great. But sometimes a simple smile or hug is all they need, to know that someone loves them. Everyone wants to feel loved and we have the greatest love in the world to share with them. Share Jesus by showing love to them.
