2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Well, the election is over. All I can say is God is amazing. I truly believe in the wee hours of the morning we watched prayers come to fruition.
Monday night, my husband and I watched Franklin Graham on FB at 9:00pm est, he had a call to pray. There were 155,000 people online, which means it was probably doubled. I know my husband and I were only watching on one device. It was surreal to pray knowing that many people were all praying at the same time. All those prayers were going up to God at the same time.
We actually had the privilege of meeting Gov. Mike Pence and his wife Karen at a Florida Gator football game. After talking to him and his wife I remember thinking, “Wow, wouldn’t that be neat if I could one day say I met and had a picture taken with the Vice President of the United States?” At that time, I was confident that he and his wife were Godly individuals and would be great for our country, but was not confident they would be elected.
But, “We The People,” have spoken. Donald Trump and Mike Pence are going to be the President and Vice-President come January. Now my prayer is that God will use these two men to unite our country. This could be the greatest revival in the history of the United States. All Christians should use this as an opportunity to share Jesus with others, by showing love and compassion. There has been a lot of negative garbage on both sides. It is our place as Christians to bridge that divide with love.
