Ephesians 5:15-17
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
We only have so many minutes in a day. There are 1440 of them, and when they are gone, they are gone. We do not get to redo them. So how are you spending your time? If we are honest with ourselves, we waste a lot of time in a day. Maybe it is social media, tv, or whatever that takes up those minutes in your day.
We have to realize that whatever we spend time doing shapes us and influences our decisions. We are either doing something productive for God or entertaining Satan with our time. There is no neutral zone. An idle mind is the devil’s playground.
In Ecclesiastes Ch. 3, it tells us there is a time for everything. God allows a time for all seasons of our life, but as the scripture above we have to be wise in how we spend it. We may be mourning, but we can still be glorifying God with our actions. It all comes down to our actions. We can say something, but we have to follow it up with action. If we tell someone we love them and don’t show it; it doesn’t mean much.
Love can be measured by the quality of the time we spend. Think about it. Do you feel loved if no one has time for you? Think about our spouses, children or friends. If we don’t spend quality time with them, how will they know how much we love them. God is the same way. If we don’t make time for Him, how will He know we love Him?
How will you redeem your 1440 minutes of time today? Who will know you love them today?
So true. Well said. Please post on church Facebook
